If you have or do use any of either Swaddlebees or Blueberry diapers give your review!

http://swaddlebees.com/ & http://www.blueberrydiapers.com/

Swaddlebees offers the widest range of cloth diapers that uses organic cotton to ensure 100% good health and safety for America’s babies.  They are non-toxic and non-irritating and have quickly become “the cleanest diapers on the planet.”   Swaddlebees and Blueberry diapers contain no bleach, no chlorine and no pesticides on the cotton fibers.  This is especially important because young children are more vulnerable to toxic exposure.

In mid 2007 Margarita launched her new fun and fashionable cloth diaper line called Blueberry.  Stripes, dots, animal prints and fun colors.  She can hardly keep up with the demand.   Erika of Alpharetta, Georgia raves, “It’s a wonderful diaper!  It fits my daughter great, no leaks, fabulous insert, adorable colors and patterns, made in the USA – what more can you ask for?  Blueberries are by far the best diaper on the market!”  This new line is sold through select cloth diaper retailers and online at www.blueberrydiapers.com.

Blueberry diapers come in a wide range of exciting upbeat colors and patterns.  They even come in chic animal prints like zebra, cheetah and pink Dalmatian.    All in all, there are over 32 designer colors and prints to choose from.   That’s one diaper design for every day of the month!

What Makes Our Diapers Special

Whether it's Swaddlebees or Blueberry diapers, we put just as much care and effort in creating clean diapers the same way you would in making a meal for people you love--you start with the best ingredients.

Whenever possible, we source our fabrics from the USA.  This not only ensures us that the fabric is manufactured without any possible contaminants that may prove harmful to infants, but we have also found that the quality is more consistent and surpasses that of its imported counterparts.  Using US-made fabrics also helps keep the textile manufacturing industry alive in the US.

The cotton used to make our organic cotton fabrics is sourced from the US as much as possible.  When supply is low, it is sourced from Turkey.  But no matter where the cotton comes from , the fabric is still milled in the US.

The microfleece we use has a special weave that makes it 95% less susceptible to detergent build-up that causes repelling and leaking issues to cloth diapers made with a polyester wicking layer.  It is 3 times more expensive than imported microfleece or suedecloth, but performance is our main priority and is something we feel must not be compromised.

Even the polyester knit used to make our laminated fabrics are all made in the US.  We design most of our prints and have them printed at a local fabric printing facility that strives to maintain a sustainable and environmentally-friendly operation by using aquaeous dyes instead of oil-based dyes, and reusing and recycling majority of the raw materials used in their operation.

We use latex-free elastics exclusively on all our diapering products.  Again, this type of elastic costs 3 times more than your typical polybraid or knitted elastic, but using latex-free elastic ensures us that the possibility of babies getting an allergic reaction with sensitivity to latex is greatly reduced, if not eliminated.  And just like most of the fabrics we use, our latex-free elastic are made in the USA as well.

Our products are carefully manufactured in a professionally-run equal-opportunity facility in the US where seamstresses and workers are paid an average of $10-12/hour, treated with respect, allowed sufficient time off to enjoy life and be with their families.

We pride ourselves in having one of the most anatomically-correct diapers available.  Simply put, our diapers fit great.  No sagging, bunching or stuff sticking out.  We carefully design our diapers to conform to the unique shape of babies to ensure the best fit, comfort and function.  We believe diapers aren't just waste-catchers, they're a fashion statement.  So they have to look the part and fit well.

I can summarize my Swaddlebees experience into one sentence!

Great for girls but not enough 'coverage' for boys.

I bought some cute organic cotton velour SBs when DS was little but we hardle ever used them because the crotch section was so narrow I got to see baby testicles all the time and that's not so cute!

Two years later I had a girl and the SBs fit fine. The crotch section was nice and trim for a girl eliminating some unnecessary bulk.

I have both Swaddlebees pockets and Blueberry pockets.

I love how trim the Swaddlebees are.  I bought them used so they did not come with an insert and I realized very quickly that the crotch is thin (across) compared to many of my inserts (but Loopey-Dos work just great). The fit is great for my LO.  She's tall and skinny.  These are DEFINITELY "under-jeans" pockets.

I only have one Blueberry...a Minkee...the outside is SO SO soft and silky.  This diaper fits good as well but the crotch is a bit wider than what I like.

I've got one swaddlebee and when I first got it I absolutely loved it! I still enjoy using it because it's so contoured to my child's figure. It's like buying a bikini cut underwear vs. grammy panties. There's just a snugger fit and on my daughter I don't think it hinders her play at all- not that really any other the other dipes stop her from running around, but it's contoured to fit and allow leg movement without all the bulkiness.

I wish I had another insert to double in it though. You can't really get a good fit using prefolds folded and shoved into that pocket dipe, since the dipe's shape is an hourglass, the middle tends to bulk up when you use something that isn't the same shape.

I have 4 AIO/pocket hybrids that I'm selling, but ONLY b/c they are a tad too big for my lo.  They are great on absorbency too.  I have no idea about fitteds though... never used them.

by jillibird00 on May. 9, 2008 at 8:10 PM

I had a couple of them but the ones I had ran small but had GREAT absorbancy. Bennett is a medium in all other dipes but the medium swaddlebees were small on him.

i just got two swaddlebees pocket diapers in the mail this week and they are SOOO small. they will never fit my little one. i was just wondering if any of you have had this problem. i ordered for her weight and all but they just look like newborn dipes...
do you think there is any chance i got a second? or do these just run SOOO small?

aprileshowers

by aprileshowers on Mar. 26, 2008 at 6:44 PM

The SB's DEFINATELY run small. At least their smalls do anyway. i had a bunch of them and they are VERY tiny. i would say their smalls fit like any other NB dipe i owned. However, once i moved up to the mediums, their mediums seem to fit like other mediums. DS cant fit into a SB small anymore but the mediums are still a tad big on him. Go figure.

I had the same problem with my SB's. They didn't fit my boys very well at all. I ended up selling them.

I have a SB pocket I was actually going to post about this. The darn thing has been washed a few times now and does not absorb..... at all. All it does is leaks.... It is the only pocket I have right now that fits Noah so I kinda have to use a pocket at night and all the darn thing does is LEAKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
According to hubby who normally gets up with him in the morning the inserts are mostly dry. So I am thinking I missed something.
The have a great fit and Noah seems to like them....

Swaddlebees Wool Wraps

BeckybelleWritten by Beckybelle on Dec. 27, 2008 at 5:09 PM

Anyone used these? How many times did you have to lanolize them before they worked? My MIL gave us some for Christmas (and fleece! I love fleece!!).  I've already lanolized ours 3 times, and it still leaks. I've read that some others have had to do it several times before they were waterproof... but how many times??

apexmommy

by apexmommy on Dec. 27, 2008 at 5:13 PM

We only did ours once.  But, wool is never 100% waterproof.

MollyBolt

by MollyBolt on Dec. 27, 2008 at 5:43 PM

I have one SB wool wrap and i have lano'd it 3 times. It still leaks when worn for long periods of time. It can only hold SO much (approx 30% of it's weight in water). I dont use it for bedtime but it functions fine for other times!

Beckybelle

by Beckybelle on Dec. 27, 2008 at 6:10 PM

I put it on my lighter wetter for about an hour and a half and it was soaked through... I assume this isn't what it's supposed to do. If so, it totally wasn't worth the money.

Mine is super cute.  Not my favorite dipe for all around, not that it leaks.... ours is just a bit big for ds right now, but great for showing some cloth!  Never tried it for overnight.... Bought it used of diaperswappers, it's blue with a green tree frog on the back!

I bought one, and I loved the minky.  So much so I had to start making diapers out of minky.  It is so soft and so neat looking.

I have 4 of their minky diapers.  I love them!  I have only bought them when they are on sale, I think the price is a bit high.  IF I had the money to pay full price, I would have more than 4 of them 8)  Join their email list, they will email you when they have sales.  They wash the same as any other diaper too.  I do think the sizing runs a bit small though.
