If you are writing to 1 day become a published writer, you have to write a little every day.Like anything else, practice makes perfect.

So true. For years I wrote "when the muse hit me" and ended up with several unfinished projects littering my house. A little over a year ago I said "I'm finishing one." picked one, made myself write almost every day (you need a day off now and again, too. :) ) and just recently finished my first very rough draft of my first novel. Now the tweaking begins. For me, the hardest part was telling my inner editor to shut up until I finished it. Now it's time to unleash the grammar nazi and plot-development nazi within. :)
