We are a group of free-thinking women who wish to determine for ourselves the best way to raise our children and live our lives. Through this lens, many of us have found ourselves at odds with mainstream parenting. Primarily, the level of respect we give each other, our children, our neighbors and our environment is our guiding maxim. We strive to be supportive, non-judgmental and inclusive with a specific non-mainstream slant. We are not all alike, but we come from a place of respect that has created a beautiful group here.

Many of us are green, natural, AP and feminist. The norm in this group is not to have members pass a litmus test of values or beliefs. The norm is to preserve the respect and love we share for each other regardless of differences of philosophy or opinion. Here are some common interests:

Attachment Parenting, co-sleeping, babywearing, extended breastfeeding, respectful and largely non-mainstream families, homeschooling/unschooling, homebirth, intact genitalia, public breastfeeding, anti-consumerism, small business support, interracial relationships/families, and more)
