 I was diagnosed with a b/o july 19 and the next day i began bleeding heavily. that lasted about 3-4 days then got lighter for about a week when it stopped. 3 weeks after the miscarriage i began bleeding again and i thought it was my period it got real heavy for a few days then began to lessen. now its been a week since that started and im still bleeding some. someone told me maybe i should have had a d&c. has anyone elses period after a miscarraige been heavier than usual or do you think i should go back to the doctor.

Sorry about your loss I myself had a B/O back in February My monthly is still a little off and I bled on and off for about 2 1/2 weeks after being diagnosed( i ended up doing the miscarriage pill sorry don't remember the name) in any case you may want to call your DR 's office just to talk. Does your DR want to see you again after you stop bleeding if not ask to be seen again just to make sure everything body wise is going back to normal. I had a b/o in march and had what I thought was a period in July. I kept bleeding and bleeding and then passed another clot.I guess it wasn't a period. I would say if you can go back to you obgyn...just to make sure and see what's up! Best of luck and so sorry for your loss....

Call and talk with your doctor. I had to have a D&C because I did not miscarry on my own. I had period like bleeding for a couple days, light bleeding off an on for a week or so, then it stopped. A couple weeks later, I started bleeding HEAVY out of nowhere. Like---had to have another teacher cover my classroom, and I ran to the bathroom. There was blood everywhere. I called my doctor, freaking out. When she did the ultrasound, I still had placental tissue in my uterus. I had to have a second D&C. My doctor had only seen this problem with one other patient and said it was uncommon. Regardless, it happened.

I would for sure call the doctor. I didn't have a DNC. I didn't stop bleeding in between but bleed for 8 WEEKS!!! I had to be put on a antibiotic because they said I had endometriosis.  I hope you get back to "normal" soon. That was one of the hardest things for me. I was like, "I had to have a miscarriage... I don't need to bleed for TWO MONTHS!" .... Update soon on what the doctor said... or how your bleeding is going.

I had a b/o back in July of 2007. I can't really remember how heavy my periods were right after that, i just basically remember how long after my m/c i had my period. i would call the doctor just to check and make sure everything is ok. I am so sorry for your loss.
