I missed my period in May,Through june, had all the symptoms,{im a mother of 3},No period in june,,Went to health dept. Results positive.Bled through the month of july.Applied for medicaid.Waited mnths to come through,of course, finally,in august, got my card.At this point i had been bleeding most of the mnth...was nervous, but everyone said, dont worry, every pg is different. My app was yesterday,I expected to come home with a due date, and an ultrasound pic, instead,i came home with nothing.Negative result.Nothing on the ultrasound. The doctor didnt even bother to tell me,she sent the nurse out to say, your not pg!They called today,to let me know that they dont know how to bill this! I have never felt more mistreated in my life.I told my whole family the baby was coming, and noone had any answers for me!They looked at me like i was stupid! I know what pg feels like! I was pg! I dont know what happened, but ive never felt lower,or less cared for,in my entire life..............Shopping at garage sales for baby things,,making a baby room, and all they have to say is,i dont know how to bill this! I am heartbroken, and shunned,at the same time! I cant believe medical professionals could be so cruel.....I feel so lost...........

good morningAngela

Did they do an actual pregnancy test? That is very rude, unfortunately many medical professionals have no idea what to do or say in situations like this. My suggestion is to get a copy of the health department positive result, even if they just print out a statement or something saying you tested positive and when. And for them to not even try to look into things when you had no period is just not professional at all. Even if you weren't pregnant, that could mean some serious problems, and they should have done more for you. I'm very sorry.

I'm sorry you're feeling so alone. I would be upset at the way the doctor treated me as well.

But, I just have to ask....you were bleeding for 2 months and thought everything was fine? The very first thing on my paperwork from my OB basically says if you EVER start bleeding in any capacity to call immediately. Every pregnancy is different, but bleeding is not a sign of a normal, healthy pregnancy.

It sounds like you may have had a very early MC which is painful and I am sorry for your loss. Sadly I dont think you got medical attention soon enough and had to go through life thinking you were pregnant. Your dr. was very rude and I am sorry to hear that!
