do you have a health care proxy or advance directive, not just for medical care but psych emergencies too?

its important to have one for psychiatric care as even spouses can be left out of treatment planning.  also, in times of crisis it is difficult for anyone to determine when a patient is unable to make their own decisions.

I have a advance directive.  Most states now makes you get on the computer and get it from there. A year ago in the State of Ohio you coulod just get it from the hospital and fill it out and have it noterized.

its a really good thing to have done ahead of time for both medical and psych emergencies.

at least here in mass., a spouse isnt guaranteed to help make decisions when it comes to psych care, often spouses are left out, unless you have a proxy statement or AD
