Why do so many of us crave chocolate when depressed?

Not always. Carbs work for that. Chocolate is tasty, but it's not my "thing". It is a "reward" though, for me.

chocolate is a mood booster for sure for me.  really good dark chocolate with chilis and cinnamon is my favorite, but i also like the kind with goji berries and sea salt but its expensive.

 i just crave good food not necessarily choc. to boost my mood. like we had porkchops, green beans, mac and cheese and mashed potaotes yesterday and i didnt want to stop eating. when i had a period i would crave choc. around that time.
