No. I had none of these symptoms as a child or teen. I remember being happy. I miss it.

I honestly don't think so. I remember waves of hurt and anger and stress and crying starting at 17 (which I don't consider "child"), so if there was anything before that, it was so much less that it didn't even register before.

The ONLY thing I can say for sure, is that I always cried easily, and was shy, and was often lonely when I moved till I made friends (which didn't really happen much when I was 12+ and moved that last time). But I remember being happy a lot and sensible.

I didn't even have to read the complete article. I have always been depressed and because of my age they didn't think there was no such thing in depression in children and adults that had depression was kept hush hush

Yes, was depressed as a child. Experienced a lot of the symptoms. I am 54 now, still on meds and therapy. Didn't get help until the age of 24. Sought help on my own. It would of been nice to have had help as a child.

I had a good childhood. I was shy and very emotional, which I see in my DD2 and makes me think she may easily be effected as a teen as I was. I wasn't diagnosed until I was 15, and still to this day I remember what it was like before my depression.
