Meds and Breastfeeding

Before I got pregnant I was on Citalopram. I really liked how it worked compared to other meds I have taken in the past. But from what I understand they recommend finding something else while breastfeeding. Does anyone know anymore about this? Or any other antidepressants that work in a similar way?

Thanks for any help.

I would discuss it with your dr. There is numerous meds out but I don't know for sure what ones are safe while breastfeeding.  I think to it might be ok in low doses. You could even talk to your ob about what is safe.
