My psychiatrist told me that I was going to notice a difference quickly and he was right!  I started it on Friday and I feel much better.  I am on 5 mg in addition to Cymbalta for severe depression.  So far, I have not had any nasty side effects like restlessness, nausea, or increased appetite.  It is VERY expensive, so if you want to google "abilify savings card" you can get a 30 day trial free then 17 refills for a $25 co-pay (the catch is you cannot be on Medicaid, Medicare, Tricare, or VA).

I am on Abilify 2mg to boost my Zoloft. Yes, it works. When I don't have Abilify I have terrible thoughts of dwelling in the past, regrets, guilt, suicide thoughts.........Its hard to believe a little 2mg pill can make all that go away! A miracle really.

I've taken it with Cymbalta.  It was good for me.  I no longer take it because my insurance will no longer cover the Cymbalta or the Abilify!  Costs hundreds without insurance and I cannot afford it.

The alternative?  Major depression once again.  I've suffered with it most of my life.  Going off these meds has been extremely difficult and I have NO support at home.  Just CM.

Thanks everyone!

Can you try patient assistance program or samples from your doctor. I hate to hear that you are having depression again when it is treatable :(
