A few years back I had three herniated & bulging disks.
And for a couple of years I've been getting bad pains in my elbows. I went to a doctor and he said tendonitis. The pain is getting worse and it wakes me up from a deep sleep. It feels like one has metal teeth in my elbows, now it's in my shoulder too, and when I put my back *out* it's in my hip and my glutes.
Now recently I've been getting sharp pains through my things. It just shoots down. Both my hands and my feet sometimes go tingly and sometimes number.
I'm on a nerve pill that isn't helping and T3's w/codeine that barely touch it.
i went to my gp today and I need to do blood test for arthritis.
Does anyone have any ideas what this is?
And no, I'm not a hypochondriac - I wish, cause then the pain wouldn't be there.
Chronic pain is elusive. I have similar problems. 2 Buldged discs, a busted si joint that caused sciatica and nerve damage i have fibro and rheumatoid arthritis. it took 10 years to get definitive dx's. partly because there are some docs who dont believe in fibro. Pain pills dont work for me. things like physical therapy and massage have. there are days i am in so much pain i cant think straight.
I never heard of a blood test for arthritis. I am going to look it up on web MD and see. Keep us informed please.
There is a blood test for rhumatoid arthritis. That's how I was dx'd.

Lyrica is basically cymbalta. Both made me suicidal. IMO pot works better. Arnica creams, magnesium help too. Neurontin is crap for nerve or all over pain.

Have you tried lyrica??? I also worked with a woman who swore by pot. My mom takes the pot pills. Dh is getting his medical pot cars next week, so i'll try it.
Thanks for the info. I thought the way to tell about arthritis in general was in x-rays. I have osteoarthritisbudging dis,
collapsed vertebra in my neck and I broke both wrists last year. I suffer great pain all of the time. I will be seeing a spine and joint specialist really soon. Lord I hope they can help me.
