I have Tricare but the doctor I see charges $110 per visit every 3 months and doesn't accept Tricare. She's awesome so I don't mind paying.

With our insurance, the psychologist and psychiatrist is $65 per visit.  DH goes to the psychiatrist every two weeks (adjusting meds) and the psychologist weekly.

Our PCP is $55 per visit with our insurance.

Can you please share with me what makes her a good dr.? I see my psychiatrist every 2-3 months depending on how I'm doing and I don't really seem to get anything out of our visits except him filling my meds if I need them. Should I see a psychologist-would it be better than seeing a psychiatrist? Seems all the psychiatrists do for you is fill your meds for you but that's all. I would really like to see someone that can help me through everything I'm going through but I don't know who to see. Any advice?

I know my therapist charges $200 per visit. Not sure about my regular dr. or psychiatrist. Thankfully my insurance takes care of that and if I didn't have it, I wouldn't be able to see them.
