What lessens your depression symptoms?

Posted by   + Show Post
When I exercise, watch comedies and get plenty of sleep, my depression lessens. I also strive to eat nutritious food which makes me feel better.

walking alone i haffta do. i got 3 little dogs. they need a life too. soo that makes me move. i sometimes take them to a park near here. nobody speaks & im all alone.
i see families makes me glad for them but i get that crushing feeling.
knowing i exist for just them. i guess.

For me this is a toss up. Sometimes it lessens my depression and other times it can make it worse. Because if I am already feeling lonely, walking alone intensifies it.

Getting out of the house and getting fresh air.

Healthier snacks like apple slices and baby carrots, rather than chips or candy. Any type of movement, walking or picking up the house a little. Doing a load of laundry, although I hate doing it, I feel better knowing I got it done. Anything that gives me a sense of control or accomplishment.

Exercise, eating healthier, music, and prayer.

If I just go for a walk, it helps some. Sometimes playing in the backyard with my dogs help.

Getting out of the house. Visiting my family every once in a while (although I cant spend to much time with them, they tend to drain me some.), having money (tax time = trips! Always cheers me up... only shortly tho.), and having someone to talk to.

As of recent, it's been my beloved helping me with our new baby boy and getting outside and walking. I'm sure when I am adjusted to mother hood, I'll be able to add to the list.
