What are your coping mechanisms to deal with anxiety besides pharmaceuticals?

Looking for some new coping techniques to try since work is picking up and I feel the anxiety starting to build.

It's a real struggle. I take meds and don't usually get it any more...

1) Trying to make lists and plan instead of putting things off (which makes it worse)

2) Stretch/exercise

3) Music

I can't remember the rest. I did a lot of careful breathing and mindfulness sorts of things, but never got really good at them

deep breaths

 fresh air

music or something to watch on tv -something to distract

try to re-direct my thinking because that's usually what kick in the anxiety

The thing that helps me most is playing my ipod and walking.

I have to focus on my breathing. I will easily go into hyperventilation if I dont

I work with my uncle and use visualization techniques. We just met Sunday and he had me imagine something private that is difficult or unpleasant for me and imagine it getting very small/off in the distance, so I wasn't so overwhelmed by it. Not sure where you'd find someone like that to work with...I'm lucky to have him!

Deep breaths. I take deep breaths and focus my mind and body on my breathing.
