Is there a history of mental illness in your family?

Both sides, so I wouldn't be surprised if I do have something though I really didn't find speaking to a therapist was very helpful and psychiatrists are glorified drug dealers. Sad but true, I don't remember the last time I was happy with my life. I understand people who go postal or the other extreme, suicidal, I get it.

One of my uncles had severe depression like I do.  My grandmother also was given shock treatments for depression.  That worked for her.

Yes, unfortunately. My 21 year old was asking about it today.

My family has a very thick history of depression, and anxiety issues.

My twin was diagnosed with BPD, and I have been diagnosed with bipolar rapid cycling.

I never thought there was until I realized my own depression. Then I found out that my mom, her twin, several of their other siblings, their siblings children, etc. all suffer from mental illness. Then later on I found out that my dad's side of the family have mental health concerns as well.

My kids' dads' families have mental illness as well. They are doomed.
