So for those of you who occasionally go to a restaurant, do you look at the nutrition menu before ordering?

Quoting KTMOM:

I do,  as well as grilling the server and many times speaking to a manager and a chef before I eat at certain places.  I have to because of my celiac disease.  Obviously I don't go out to eat very often to begin with...  There are a few places I have more confidence in,  like PF Changs,  because they actually have a gluten free menu and dedicated woks, utensils, and even plates.

For what it's worth, if you are ever near a Margaritaville, they have a pretty decent gluten free menu ! My DH is in management at the M-ville here and he had to go through a long training course regarding gluten free meals/celiac disease/procedures for the GF menu.  He's the one that goes out to tables and gets grilled by the customers , haha :)

No I do not. I do try to go for the healthier alternatives most of the time. Even if I get a salad, I will ask for the dressing on the side (I really do not like soggy salad, bleck!). Usually hubby and I will split an entree, and even at that I don't finish it off. I figure if I am eating less than half of an entree, I'm not over-doing it.
