Obesity Rate: Where Does Your State Rank?

Posted by   + Show Post

Here's a quick and easy way to see where your state ranks in terms of adult and child obesity. Just click on your state on this interactive map and see your state's score:

Where does your state rank on the list? I live in New York, which is #36 for adult obesity, but #17 for childhood obesity.

I'm surprised that New York is that high for childhood obesity!

Anyone else?

MI is 10th in adult obesity (ack!) and 41st for childhood. I hope that means we are turning things around with our future being less obese.

you are reading my mind!!  I've been here in SC for 8 years now, but I grew up in Vermont. It's like two different worlds. In VT people WANT to be outside, active, etc.  If you don't you are the outcast, haha!

It's the only place I've ever lived so I know nothing else. I just want sidewalks so I don't have to run on the edge of the road. Is that really so much to ask?? hehe

#9....I could rant and rave all night about South Carolina.  Needless to say, we have our work cut out for us...
