carbonated vs. plain

So some of you say that carbonation in general is bad for you and some say its not.

If you drink carbonated water that does not have sugar or sodium or anything in it, then would carbonated water serve the same purpose at plain water?

This is a good question! I drink plain water. I don't like the taste of the carbonated stuff and most of the carbonated ones around us have the fake sugar in it. Which I hate.

The research I did said that carbonation has NO downsides.  The "leeching calcium" thing is a myth.

Sooo, if you get the ones without all the added chemicals and HFCS and whatnot, I think it's a great alternative to sodas and whatnot for those who are craving them.

I'm thinking about buying carbonated water and flavored Stevia drops (thanks to someone in this group!) to help me curb my soda addiction.

That is a good idea for soda alternatives. I like it because it makes it easier for me to drink water, I am not a big drinker cause I am never thirsty but I can drink carbonated water like no other though

What info I have found states that carbonated water is more difficult for your body to digest than plain water, so for those with digestive problems it is not recommended. Other than that, it seems to be fine.

I just have trouble forcing it down. Bleh! Water tastes so mch better than the carbonated water and I don't know why when they're technically the same thing. Maybe I just need to get used to it. I wonder if I'd drink more water that way.
