and I am still not happy with the no-poo. The roots of my hair are still a bit oily and the length of my hair is dry and frizzy and my hair is falling out more than usual! I have tried to coconut oil and tried not using acv every day, I dunno what else to do, but I want my old hair back

I don't know if that's useful but it is what it is :)
I had lots of other symptoms but that was one of them.
ya I had my thyroid checked a few months ago, my hair wasnt like this until i started using no poo, before that my hair was a little frizzy but not bad at all

Oh, and have you ever had your thyroid checked? What you describe is how my hair was before I started taking a thyroid supplement.
I had lots of other symptoms but that was one of them.
I started no-pooing around the same time you did. I have a few thoughts about this...
How often do you wash your hair? You really only need to do it once or twice a week, every other day at most. In between you can wet it and rub your scalp like you would to clean it, but just use water instead. I no-poo about every third day and I always use acv (my hair needs it). It stays feeling clean for a really long time (probably could go more than 3 days...), and it is really soft, too.
I know what you mean about your hair falling out. It might just be that more comes out at one time, and you shed less during the day. Since I started no-pooing, there is TONS of hair after I wash, but I don't shed as much for the rest of the day.
Like a previous poster said, you may need to be more aggressive when washing. I don't use my nails, but I do give myself a full scalp masage with my fingertips, then before rinsing I make sure that the bs/water gets squished around in the rest of my hair.
I hope this helps, and that you can find your groove with no poo!! You must really really want it to work since you've been at it for so long without the best results. Good luck!
