I've done regular fasts with just water. I'm sure I lost weight. What I recall most is my mental state.

I haven't done it with juice but with water and raw veggies.  I didn't do it for weight lose but to cleanse my system.  I do know people who've lost weight doing but they were under doctor supervision because they're weight was affecting their health

Weight loss in this case would most likely be temporary water weight.  I know ppl have done them for cleanse purposes.  I've always given up after day 1.  Didn't like how I felt.

I lead and do juice fasts.  They are a great way to rid the body of toxins and then move into healthier eating habits.  In the cleanses that I've lead, people have lost between 3 and 11 pounds.  Obviously, the more that you need to lose the more you will lose.  You will gain the weight back if you go back to unhealthy foods.  The foggy head and feeling like crap are normal - it's the body detoxing.  If you can get past that, your body will thank you and you will look and feel great!

I've never done a juice fast as I like food too much for that!  LOL!

I don't see how it is possibly healthy but honestly, I have never looked into enough to make an educated decision.

I am not a fan of rapidly flushing toxins out of your body. Instead, make a gradual change to a healthy lifestyle:

drink 8 8oz glasses of water a day

eat 7-8 servings of fruits and vegetables, in at least 3 different colors

eat 3-5 servings of (100%) whole grains a day

eat 1-2 servings of legumes a day

eat an apple, kiwi or pile of greens before every meal.

don't buy junk food, simple/white grains; cut way back on (or eliminate) meat and dairy
