It doesn't just effect red meat; it effects chicken, lamb, and fish also.

I rarely buy cuts of meat at the store but I found this insteresting.   Since it's an Australian video and I tend to be an information junkie, I did a little checking.    I'm not sure how accurate this is but wanted to share.   The underlined section is a clickable link to the whole post I got it from. (=

meatblogger.org says "If one was to purchase a fresh meat item at the retail level made using “meat glue” in the United States, the word “formed” or “reformed” would have to be included on the label.  This is per labeling rules regarding these binders"

I checked, too. Sysco & US Foods are purveyors to restaurants. I'm just saying, I'm going to be really careful.

This is why I don't buy steak in crappy restaurants. If I'm going to pay for steak at that price, it's going to be AAA.

It's definitely a great idea to be careful... especially at restaurants.   You never know what they are doing back in the kitchen.   I couldn't even tell you the last time I ate out and had a cut of meat like that though.

A company I work for, buys meats from Sysco; they look like plastic

Yikes. They sell to everyone, too, even schools.
