How do you get your kids to eat more vegetables?

Posted by   + Show Post
Getting your little one to eat more veggies can be a tough job but it doesn't have to be. We asked 50 CafeMom members to take  the One Giant Pledge to get their family to eat more vegetables and gave them a free coupon from Green Giant to get them started. With Green Giant, vegetables are picked at the peak of perfection and frozen or canned fast to preserve the simple goodness nature intended!

Make sure I use them in more meals than just dinner time!

I let my son pick out the vegetables at the local farmer's market so he is more interested in eating them during the week.

I make pizza from scratch and add the veggies on there. He loves them on pizza. Hard time getting him to eat them otherwise though. But he loves onion, and red and green bell peppers on his pizza.

They love their veggies so it's not difficult to get them to eat it. They especially love the veggies that come in the bags we can toss in the microwave to steam and eat - my oldest makes them herself this way!

I pledge to serve my family more veggies every day.

Definitely! Plus, when they're never given the option to NOT eat their veggies, it's easy to get them to eat them every day. :)

We offer veggies at every dinner to our son and remind him of how important they are in order for his body to grow into a big boy!
