My Gma is a survivor.  Diagnosed when she was 35 and pregnant with my uncle. Horrible Dr. told her at least her son would remember her.....I just talked to her via FB today!

My grandmother (father's mother) had breast cancer.  She will be 90 in December, and she's currently on her death bed...not due to the cancer though.  She has heart failure and she's at the end of her time.  She beat breast cancer though!

My aunt (father's sister) had breast cancer and had one breast removed.  She is now in her 60s and fine.

I have a dear friend who has the breast cancer gene...her mother died of breast cancer at the age of 31...my friend had a double mastectemy and reconstructive surgery almost 2 years ago so that she wouldn't get breast cancer.  Otherwise she had an 87% chance of getting it since she had the gene.  She's my hero!

This month, I have 2 friends/coworkers who are celebrating 5 yrs of being cancer free! That's a big deal. Both were diagnosed at the same time with breast cancer.
