We have soccer practice on Tuesday's til 7pm.

I usually do crockpot meals and/or leftovers on those nights.

Is it possible -

For me to cook the noodles, brown the meat, and throw those and a big bottle of spaghetti sauce in the crockpot on 'keep warm' and it be ok?

Ive just never done spaghetti in the crockpot. Om scurred. Lol

I wouldn't put the noodles in the crock pot. I would cook them and have them ready to go in the fridge, and your spaghetti sauce ready in the crock pot. The heat from the sauce will warm the noodles when you serve up the plates or it only takes a couple minutes to reheat noodles in the microwave then add to the sauce.

That's cool. I can do that.

I was afraid the keep warm thing would continue to semi - cook the noodles OR make them soak up too much of the sauce. I like VERY saucy spaghetti.

Thanks!!!

How did it turn out?

What other crockpot recipes do you use?

I would say the noodles will be too soft and fall apart. Cook them, put them in the fridge, then maybe heat them in the microwave or throw them in the crock for a 1/2 hour when you get back if you don't mind waiting. I have this issue on Wed nights with soccer.

I'm doing it tonight!

We mainly do soups and pulled meat (chicken and pork).

I dont think I would add the pasta. I throw meat in there to make with tacos. Either beef or chicken......... That always turns out good. And quick to throw together when we get home!

If it's not too expensive you could also use those fresh noodles near the cheese and lunch meat section. They take only a few minutes to boil.
