I've been using raw brown sugar for the few times I use sugar. I've been hearing more and more about how much healthier Stevia is than sugar so I bought some today. It had like a savory followed by weird sweet taste in my tea. Also, i need to use 1/32t per serving. How does one measure this?

What is stevia anyway? Is it really a natural sugar or is it processed or a chemical or what.

I was thinking this too...I'm honestly not sure about Stevia...don't know much about it!

I don't really care for stevia.

We use sugar.

I have been using Stevia for about a year now. For my tea I use the individual packets. Stevia (according to my Dr.) is made from natural raw sugar and is healthier than brown sugar. I just listened to what he said and we have had no problems adjusting

I use stevia daily in my coffee w/creamer. I can't use it straight cuz it does have an off taste but w/creamer it tastes just like sugar. Its is like 30x sweeter then sugar tho

I use raw brown, maple sugar, or occasionally agave.

For the most part I stick with brown sugar (personal preference), date sugar or maple syrup. The only thing I use stevia powder for is sweeting my yogurt; the tartness of the yogurt masks the aftertaste.

As far as which is "healthier" ... sugar is sugar. Be it natural, raw, organic, conventional, white, brown, honey, etc, it all spikes your blood sugar and adds calories just the same. The point of using stevia is to get that sweetness while avoiding sugar.

I don't know anything about stevia. I've never used it.
