Strict diet during yeast infection?

Posted by   + Show Post

Have any of you ever followed a different diet during a yeast infection?

I have one and am wondering if my diet (vegan) is okay.  Like, I don't eat a huge amount of sugar, or packaged foods.  I make pretty much everything from scratch.

Do I need to alter my diet until this clears up or am I fine to continue with my regular diet?

From what I was reading a Candida diet isn't very healthy at all.  So I'd really prefer to avoid it.

No.

I've never been on such powerful antibiotics (I have the great pleasure of being able to say to 100% of my doctors: I've never taken these so much that I need anything but penicillin, which I am NOT allergic to!) that I ended up with recurring yeast.

Mostly, yeast is extremely easy to kill: compete with its food source and eliminate the conditions it needs to live (damp, warm, carb source) and it dies --quickly. I've killed yeast while making bread... it's super-easy to do by accident.
