I just don't feel like eating salads when it is cold. Salads are good for us, though, Suggestions?
I haven't heard that raw veggies are specifically better than cooked, as long as you're not cooking them using a high-fat method or boiling them so much that they lose their nutrients. I would say, as long as you're getting the recommended number of servings of veggies and fruit every day, not to worry so much about whether they're raw. If you really want to make sure to eat raw veggies, then throw in a salad every once in a while.
Quoting Bmat:Great way to get vegetables, but aren't we also supposed to eat raw veggies?
Quoting jhslove:I don't like salads in winter, either. When it's cold out, I eat a lot of vegetable soups. I still get my veggies in that way.
