HELP!!!! my throat is burning! Is it because I ate too late before going to bed? This is the 3rd time its happen. I ate a piece of pizza last night took a shower and then relaxed a little bit woke up about 4:10 am and I feel like burping every now and again but I have to stop because I just feel like throwing up and then it burns SOOOO bad. Any advice? please?

Sounds like reflux to me. Apple cider vinegar with some honey in it will help.

Good luck. I use tums.

Tums or milk (cow milk) can help. Try eating a slice of plain bread too. It can help absorb the acid, at least for me.

I have a hard time with tomato based sauces because of the acidity which then causes reflux issues :(

I hate that feeling.  It is totally miserable.  I use Prevacid or Prilosec because I have chronic reflux, but for occassional heartburn/reflux, Tums or Maalox or Gaviscon usually do the trick.

It is probably because you ate right before bed.

I find a cal/mag supplement works in about 15 minutes...

You can also try baking soda; the instructions are on the box.

In the future, try not to eat within 2 hours of going to bed, and make dinner a smaller meal than your other meals. That will make a big difference. Also be sure to stay upright for at least 30 minutes after you eat.
