I'll be trying to toothache one, myself. I'll let ya know.

for burns, though... baking soda and a little water will help relieve the pain for a longer period than ice. It takes the "sting" out of it. Then use burn cream... instead of ice. It will help it heal. Sure the ice feels good, but it only psychs you out a little bit. 

I've been burned many times. By stupid little accidents in the kitchen.

I've actually heard you weren't supposed to put ice on a burn.  I meant to mention that earlier.  Just cool water.  The baking soda sounds good too.  Makes sense.
