Exercise and Bad Diet

What say you? Can you exercise away a bad diet? Is it self defeating to exercise faithfully and still consume a bad diet?

I honestly believe this. 

Except for when it comes to men. Men just have to *think* "lose weight" and it happens. LOL

to loose weight after the baby I ate anything I want but ran an hr a day and lost 40 pounds in 3 months

Diet and exercise go hand in hand, so I do believe that even though you are exercising regularly, unless you change the way you eat, you won't be as healthy.

This is true. 


I have been fixing up my diet. I did well til the holidays. It just a pain in the butt to cook well. Since then we have done a lot better, but now I am fixing up things even more.

I think diet is actually more important than exercise, although they go hand in hand.

I don't totally agree.  I think that once you begin to put in the work (exercise) you realize that your eating lifestyle choices are making more work for you and you will begin to change your style of eating.

That's what I think people tend to forget. . . HEALTH. I think allot of focus is on size vs real and true health, which can devastate people when they're older.
