Vegan Marshmallows

A friend of mine asked me what i thought of these.  I didn't know marshmallows contained animal products.  I was kind of thrown by them being labeled "vegan." Well one look at the ingredients and i was like, these things are SUPER unhealthy.  I told her whoever eats them may as well drink a  Coke.

Processed food is still processed food, no matter what's is called.

Here's the ingredient list;
Vegan Beet Sugar, Corn Syrup, Corn Starch, Corn Dextrose, Water, Carrageenan, Soy Protein, Natural Vanilla Flavor, Titanium Dioxide (a natural mineral), Salt.

Regular marshmallows has Gelatin, which is definitely an animal product. And honestly, when someone wants to eat marshmallows, vegan or not, I doubt they are worried about how healthy they are.

Can't have it because I am allergic to corn.

That corn allergy probably keeps you healthy too as their are TONS of unhealthy processed items that have "bad corn" in them.

Vegan doesn't mean healthy. It just means it's void of animal products. They look more like my grandma's petrified purse mints than marshmallows.

Yeah, when I'm melting them down for my homemade Rice Krispies, I couldn't care less how healthy they are.
