I usually run one on the bedroom in the winter, but I haven't set it up this year yet.  Our skin is dry.

We use them to prevent bloody noses from the dry heat.

We do use it in the winter cause of how dry it is in our home. My SO does smoke sometimes as well inside and it irritates my sinus. Since we use the humidifier I'm doing good! He smokes in the room with door closed and window open so he doesn't affect me or kids.

We have a cool humidifier running in the girls room.  With both having asthma, if we don't use a humidifier when they sleep I end up giving nebulizer treatments, and no one likes those :P

No. Our pediatrician told me years ago that placing a glass of water in the room was sufficient.

I have never heard of this. I think I will give it a try. Thanks :)
