Yes, PA is legal, too, and we're a spit away, lol.  It's kind of GOOD they give them a hard time... ;)

Yeah we buy ours raw. It's legal in California but they've been harrassing the poor milk farmers though.

All I know is that pasteurisation kills anything worth what was in it... add to that list dead skin cells. There's a company that flash pasteurizes:

Í specifically buy milk that is labeled as not having growth hormones.  As for the rest of it.....other than what's on the label, who knows?

Eh honestly even if it is true.  We won't stop drinking milk.  We go through about 6 gals. a week.

Quoting jenerica.:

I think that it's probably true for pasteurized milk.  It's cooked to kill all the heebie jeebies.

But if you know where your milk comes from, you can feel better about what is in it and what is not.

Here are the nutritional facts for the type of milk my family drinks.

Honestly, I think that "ad" looks like propaganda put out by vegans.  Or it could be partial information, (put out by proponents of raw dairy), taken out of context.

I think you may be right. I think orange juice has a lot of calcium in it as well. I'd give my son other things besides milk for calcium if the juice part didn't give him the runs.

as it is though he gets milk, yogurt, pudding, cheese (real cheese and not american when I think of it. )
