I only use canola oil when I make cakes.  But then I slather the cakes with a shortening based frosting...so it's not like I try to pass my cakes off as healthy in any way.  LOL!

I did bake my very first gluten-free cake on Sunday.  It was delicious!  And I didn't use any canola oil.  It still wasn't healthy, I'm sure....but I kind of felt better about it.  Haha!

I rarely use it because I find it  tastes like fried fish.  That may be because we use to use it for fried fish.
