Body and health after breastfeeding

I stopped breastfeeding my daughter 6 months ago and had breastfed for a year. I feel like my body is freaking out on me, I've gained weight, cycles are a bit wacky, nails are peeling, and just don't feel like myself. I'm going to see my dr next week just to get regular labs done but was just curious about other moms and how you felt after stopping breastfeeding?

I've nursed all 5 of my children (and i'm currently weaning my youngest who is 2 years old).  I never noticed anything different with my body after i stopped nursing. They children did wean themselves gradually, as in they self weaned so that could be it.

Could it be something else? Are you taking BC, i know that throws the body off because of hormones.

No idea mama...I wasn't able to breastfeed.  Hugs and good luck!
