Any of you Vegetarian's?

I recently stoped eating all meet and was wondering if anyone has any good recipes or tips or anything on cooking tofu. I just don't like the texture of it and thought maybe I am cooking it wrong or something. Any tips advice would be wonderful thanks.

Sorry, I am no help.  I detest tofu in any manner of preparation.

Bump!

I don't dislike tofu but I also don't eat it often. I prefer it crispy which isn't easy to do. You might try Seitan. It has a different texture.

In vegetarian, but I dislike tofu. I will eat it occasionally in a stir fry, but that's it.

Healthy Happy Life is a GREAT recipe blog for all things vegan and vegetarian.  She also has a "what to stock in your pantry" shopping list.  Check it out.

The only way I can stand the texture of tofu is if it's fried.

And then I can only eat it every once in a while. That stuff is really disgusting.

I'm not a vegetarian but I'm a dairytarian (lol) so a lot of the recipes that I make are vegan.

My favorite recipe with tofu is a vegan lasagna that is fairly simple (and when I say simple, I mean it- I can burn water!). It's on this blog:

http://blog.fatfreevegan.com

Essentially all you do is blend the tofu with some frozen spinach, add nutritional yeast for a cheesy flavor (though if you're only vegetarian I suppose you could use real cheese) and add spices like garlic powder, cayenne, onion powder, etc.  Take two jars of sauce and layer it with dry noodles, bake at 375 for 60 minutes (30 under foil and 30 without).
