What do I do with Quinoa?

With the start of a new school year, I am trying to turn a new leaf and get our family going on a more nutritional path.  I bought an enormous bag of quinoa from Costco and I am looking at it wondering what I can do with it!  I have used it in place of potatoes or rice for dinner but I have heard you can have it for breakfast, lunch, dinner and even dessert! Anyone have any good recipes or uses for quinoa??? Anything would help!!

I'll have to bump this for you as I have no idea how to cook that stuff.  Have you looked on Pinterest by chance?  That's where most of our recipes come from now.  Good Luck!

I'm at work, but I have a ton of recipes for quinoa at home.  Go to pinterest and look up recipes.  There are some really amazing ones, like mac n cheese with quinoa or quinoa pancakes instead of potato pancakes.

I mix mine, 1/2 (pre cooked) quinoa, 1/2 oatmeal and then just make it like you would your usual oatmeal.

We eat it in place of rice a lot too.

We use it instead of rice or barley.

You can make quinoa pudding instead of rice pudding by boiling it with cinnamon, sugar and milk.

You can make extra and eat it as a hot cereal (I heat it in hot water, drain and add milk and cinnamon.)

If you like taboule (usually bulgar, tomatoes, cukes, mint and lemon juice) you can replace the bulgar with quinoa.
