I really like honey but is it better then sugar? Is it like the same as sugar ? What do you think ? Just wondering :)
I went to a nutrition seminar last year at the Cooper Center. Their take was that sugar, is sugar. Honey, raw sugar, cane sugar, agave etc is processed the same in a healthy body. Because honey is sweeter, we tend to use less and that is good. But ultimately, sugar is sugar.
Real sugar is better than artificial sweeteners no matter what.
Raw honey is better for you than processed honey because it still has all the micronutrients in it.
But other than that rfurlongg is correct. Sugar is sugar no matter what form it's in.
Yes, it's better. It's not as processed. Raw honey is the best option.
Here's a GREAT informative video on sugar. It's over and hour but REALLY informative.
thanks for the information :)
Because I'm vegan, I don't use honey. My sweetner of choice is raw agave.
I've used honey to sweeten my hot tea.
Anyone use monk fruit? We'll use raw honey, agave, or raw sugar as sweetners. Hubby uses stevia drops in his coffee but I think they taste wierd. I was wondering about the taste of monk fruit sweetners. They have it "In the Raw" but I have to wonder how processed it really is.
