Here is another article linked on FB by my pediatrician. I love her! This is so fascinating. My Pedi suggests an organic, vegetarian cleanse 1 week a month. Do you serve any vegetarian meals to your family?? I currently serve 3-4 dinners a week vegetarian as well as 99.9% of breakfasts and lunch.

I have contemplated vegetarianism but am not there yet. DH said he won't ever.
Quoting rkoloms:We only have vegetarian meals at home.
The foods we buy are mostly organic (we follow the clean 15/dirty dozen fairly closely), whole foods.

we have a few vegetarian meals a week 2-4 usually. breakfast is always vegetarian (not vegan, we do eat eggs sometimes). lunch is mixed, i would say half or more vegetarian. but we also buy a lot of organics and don't usually buy meat at the regular grocery store, we get it from local farms, whole foods or plum market.

The secret is to not mention that you are no longer buying meat.

I'm a vegetarian, my family is not. However, three to four meals each week are totally vegetarian. The others are things that I'll eat and then I make a meat as a "side" versus veggies as a "side". I'm noticing more and more that my family will eat more of what I'm eating and less meat.
As far as cleanses, I've done Master Cleanse before. It was fine, but not really for me. I've done juice cleanses and really seem to find the most benefit from them. I read a book called Toxic Relief by Dr. Don Colbert. He's an M.D. that is huge on nutritional healing and good health through proper nutrition. He talks about juice fasting and specific juices for specific types of cleansing.
