We are working on fundraising. In September we have a walk for juvenile diabetes. My best friend's 4 year old was diagnosed on May 10, 2010. In about a month, she has over 250 finger pricks and 120 insulin injections. She has to be woken up at night for testing and if she's low, she has to eat or drink orange juice. If she's high, she has to have more insulin.
She's only 4.
So far, there's a team set up and donations can be made here.
Raffles have been done and some donations made. Any ideas here can help, all donations help (and personal info is not shared, they are made directly through the juvenile diabetes website). The other day, at the hospital, she asked her momma if there was a cure. Her mom said no. She said "we need to find one" and her mom asked why, curious to see what her baby would say. Rhea said "so I don't have to wear this anymore" pointing to her ID bracelet.
