My oldest girl is the appropriate age for the HPV, I think she should get it. But my hubby says that he has heard bad things about it. I don't want to harm her just to protect her. But at the same time if she can be protected I want her to be. So, I am asking for advice from other moms. Has anyone out there got their dtr's done? Are they ok? Should I get hers done?
here is a link to an article u should consider http://mothering.com/health/guard-against-gardasil
I do vax my kids but I would not get the HPV vax for them. It was rushed to the market and their has been too many bad reactions to it.
It is up to you. I have sons. All of the young ladies that I know (same age as my oldest) have had it. Only 1 of the 5 has stopped the series. Headache.... her Dr. decided it could have been a mild reaction and told the parents not to persue the rest of the series.
As far as children being used a "guinea pigs" well, a couple of my sons have participated in clinical trials.... so I am not one to comment in that regard.

"Your stupidity is my husbands job security."
"I have one designer thing in my house, and it's a dog."
There have been a lot of reactions to them. They were just now doing the clinicals in India and so many girls had reactions and several dies, the Indian government said they would not allow these young Indian girls to be guinea pigs (they used those words) and halted all the trials. I wish our government cared about our kids that way.

My daughter will be getting the vaccine. I want to protect her from HPV, the leading cause of cervical cancer.
