I think I might just hate ragweed. My nose itches and runs, my eyes water & itch. My kids cough at night. It's so fun! LOL. But I have to say this year is a little better because we dug the old air filter out that we had in the basement. So there is quick relief when we come in the house. Okay that was just me complaining about that nasty weed. Anyone else share my hatred for that nasty plant? And tell me does the thing have any redeeming value? Like were is is in the circle of life(u know do deer or something eat it)? One more thing what does it look like? LOL, I'm allergic to the thing but honestly I don't know what it looks like!

I'm not affected by it *yet*. There are years it is horrible but so far so good. I hope you & the kids feel better soon : )
I hate it as well and in NH it is 2 weeks early starting this which means I hope it will end 2 weeks earlier.
i dont think my nose has been dry for over a month now. sneezing, itchy eyes, runny nose. and to make things worse, the only thing that works for me is Benadryl. so it get to suffer and stay awake or go into a blissfully dry state of unconsciousness.
son also has seasonal allergies but at least at this point not nearly as bad as mine. (TYG)
ragweed is tall (three or feet in height when full grown) with many small yellow flowers. it is quite pretty if you can see it through the runny, itchyness it causes you. that is if your eyes are swollen shut from standing in a field of it.
lol, I recently noticed that those were everywhere right now and wondered what their name was. ha ha, now I have to laugh :D

Quoting Lynette:okay then maybe I won't say "hate" since the kids love butterflies so much ;)
Quoting rkoloms:Butterflies love it!
My mom has a patch in her backyard. I went to grab zucchini, and saw a huge praying mantis in the ragweed; I haven't seen one since I was a child - it was incredibly cool (I was sorry that I didn't have a camera with me.
