Saw this neat website on pinterest today.  You can click on each age group and see which financial concepts they are able to understand, and then it gives examples of activities to do with them to teach them about money and finance.

Do you children understand the concepts under their age group?  Have you ever done any of the suggested activities with them?  How else do you teach your kids about money?

I think my 9 year old is pretty good, a littel ahead on some things but still behind in others.  My 4yo seems to get most of what they list.

For my 3 year old, we do a lot to teach her about money, but there are some great ideas that I will likely try int he future.  She does understand most of the basic concepts except the "want vs. need" section, that is one topic that hasn't come up yet.

This is really neat!  I am going to show the girls this when they get home.  For my kids age group, we could use some work!  LOL!  I htink the main thing they know is to compare prices and get more for their money.  They could use some work in the saving of the money department.  LOL

 We follow a lot of Dave Ramsey's approach with the envelope system.  He also has a series of children's books that our kids absolutely love.
