kids chloraseptic spray for 9 month old?

my 9 month old has came down with hand foot mouth disease and he in the begginnng stage where his throat is to sore to eat. is it ok to give chloraseptic spray to help ease the pain

I haven't read the bottle, but I wouldn't.

I'd consult with your pediatrician. I personally wouldn't. Poor baby! Maybe Baby Orajel? Maybe have him sip on ice water? Or warm water? Good luck, caring mommy!

I don't think it is safe.  I wouldn't, but if you want to, I would call the dr FIRST.

No way would I ever give that stuff to a 9 month old. Heck I don't even use the stuff.

 Honestly it would piss him off more than anything.  Plus I don't think you are supposed to swallow that stuff.  I doubt it's safe for a 9 month baby.

I'd talk to a pharmacist - they're typically more knowledgeable in what medications are safe in what situation than a doctor is....but I doubt that it would be safe for a baby.

I would give him Motrin/Ibuprophen. It will work the same to coat his throat and ease the pain.
