My daughter was having painful urination and when I called the doctor on Saturday, he suspected it was from all the swimming she does. He advised to come in on monday and he would check her urine to rule out a UTI. Well, my husband took her and told me she had something called Labial Agglutination. I just saw this for myself when I tried to put her cream on her and I couldn't believe what I saw!! Her vagina was completely shut!! I can't believe it! When did this happen?! I can't help but feel like I have done something wrong! Can someone help? Anyone have a daughter with this? Some support would be greatly appreciated, I feel terrible for her and as a mother.

I have never heard of it.  I agree to do what the Dr. says and I hope everything turns out fine.  =)

A couple of the little girls in my 4 year olds Birth Month group had this when babies.  They all used the cream, and as far as I know it worked for all of them without any lasting effects.

I haven't seen that before. I hope she feels better soon!  It sounds like it's fairly common, so I doubt there is any way you could have done anything about it.

I don't understand why you feel bad as a Mother? This is a natural thing that is quite common, not a reflection of poor parenting.
