August 1st is National Sports Day!

What sports are your kids involved in?  What do you do to make sure they stay healthy while they are playing sports?

My kids play baseball in the spring and summer and football in the fall.     Keeping hydrated is the most important so I make sure we always have water.

Just soccer in our family, so far.  There is interest in hockey but we need to get them on the ice, first!  LoL

We also keep them hydrated by keeping water readily available and we make sure they eat a well rounded diet.  And we always buy the proper fitted gear for their protection.

Alex does karate!  He's not much for team sports, lol.

My kids just play sports at home (they will not join teams, I am hoping this year they will).  My oldest DD loves basketball and baseball.  My youngest DD loves soccer, dance, gymnastics etc.

we are a baseball family!!!! It has been a long season since my son made all-stars this year and it is over for a little bit. we will soon be heading into fall ball! while playing ball I make sure they are plenty hydrated. we also cut out alot of junkfood.

My brother played baseball, and now my niece does.

One thing that I really don't like about living in a small town is that we don't have any sports or leagues for the kids.  We just play at the park, and I show them a little basketball, which is about the only sport I know about enough to teach.
