My 5.5 year old is being sent for a sleep study next week.
Have any of y'all done one? Any advice or suggestions?
Wake him up early and don't let him nap. The sleepier the better. I know moms who have them done with kids under two and they say its awful trying to get them to sleep with all the wires hooked up, but I would imagine that a 5 yr old would be more easy to reason with. Maybe take a few extra storybooks for bedtime.
Bring a couple conforts of home own pillow, blanket favorite sleeping friend, and few extra books,G/L to your 5 1/2 yo.
Yep, they said to bring him in at 8, ready for bed! Bed time is usually about 7:30, so I'm not too worried about him being sleepy :) I have no idea how he'll react to all the wires and strange environment though. Luckily I'll be able to stay the night with him.
I've only known adults who had them but I would also think the sleepier, the better. He may be uncomfortable in a new environment but its good you'll be able to stay with him.
