State Trivia

We're going to start with Wyoming, since that's where I'm from {no bias here ;)}.

I'll try to hit all 50, but if you think of something cool to ask about your state, feel free to jump in!  International ladies, country trivia would be cool as well!  Dawn can share cool facts about Germany!

Do you know Wyoming's nickname?  How did it earn that moniker?

Maybe something to do with national parks, or low population or rocky mountains?

The Equality State became Wyoming's nickname in relation to issues of women's rights. Public office, voting and other women's issues were first faced in Wyoming.

Best known as the Cowboy State it has the Official Nickname of The Equality State

Spot on!

We also had the first elected woman governor.  Anyone know her name?

Very nice!  Nellie Taylor Ross was elected in 1924.

I knew that one also. Live in WA for 37 years now. I am also fairly adept at MT trivia. LOL
