Worried about my six month old.

My daughter is six months old. She hasnt had a wet diaper since this morning. shes not dehydrated because shes been drinking fluids. Im not sure if this can be normal due to the heat, or if i should be concerned and take her to the ER or just wait until tomorrow morning and see what happens. The past three days it looked like she was spotting a lil in her wet diapers. She had a fever 5 days ago, but it broke overnight. Any advice for me?

I'm pretty sure that if she's drinking that much she should be having some sort of output.  Could it be that she's peeing and you're just not able to tell?  I know with many of the super absorbent diapers they have now it's sometimes hard to tell when there's just 1 or 2 pees in them.

I don't know that I'd rush to the ER, especially if she's acting normal, but I'd keep an eye on her and call the nurse's line in the morning, especially if she hasn't had another wet diaper.

Good luck!

Thank you for your advice. She might have gone a little bit and i may not have noticed, but it didint seem wet to me. Like i said shes acting normal. ill watch her tonight6 and see how shes doing. It just scares me a little bit. I was reading online and stuff, and gosh...it scares me.....something aboiut it possibly being kidney failure, but that doesnt make sense to me since shes not in pain and drinking fluids well and not having any temperature. But thank you for the advice. Id hate to rush her to the ER.....i dont wanna see her go through all the pain of tests and everything. Maybe the heat is playing a role in this and shes just sweating it out. I hope she will be back to normal by tomorrow. :(

Oh yes, Google is a mother's worst enemy, lol!  I once convinced myself that my son had either kidney failure, diabetes, or worse.  Yeah...it was strep throat, lol!

It's been pretty hot, she may be peeing less.
Keep an eye on her tomorrow, keep careful track of how much she's drinking and how much she's peeing. A sopping wet diaper counts as two.

i totally agree about google being our worst enemy. im 25.....ive been having left chest pain for awhile and alotta gas. so i guess its acid reflux. but i was on google and i was convin=ced that it was angia or some other heart problem. but i havent had sweats or temp or paleness.....so i knew it couldnt be. so its going away, im just watching what i eat....and trying not to stress sooo much. but maybe i should stay away from searching things like that.lol.

That's the trouble w/ google. the panic attacks from the self diagnosis make the symptoms seem way worse. LOL

I would talk to her pediatrician. When you say spotting do you mean bleeding?
