Have or would you dye your child's hair?

Posted by   + Show Post

I already posted this in the random thoughts thread but thought I would make a post since I actually wondered what other parents thoughts were on this?

I dyed my 9yo's hair tonight-its not permanent and will wash out within a few days to a week but I let him without a second thought.  Growing up my mom would NEVER let my sister and I dye our hair.  We both had to wait until we were out of the house.  I actually don't think my sister ever dyed her hair but I did.  A LOT!

I don't know the age. When they ask ill consider it. Dyeing hair isn't a big deal in my book. Your ds is adorable and I love his hair!

Thank you :)  He was so sad when the dye was gone two days later.  Poor kid!

My mom wouldn't allow my sister or I to use that stuff either.

My son's hair washed otu in two days and it looks and feels the same to me.  He actually hasn't asked to dye it again. . .yet!

And by no means am I saying that others shouldn't. It's just not something I am comfortable with.

I would never dye it permanent or long term or whatever it is called.  If they wanted it dyed for a few days a certain color for like a school spirit thing then yes I would let them.

Probably not until they are teenagers.
